‘The fire next time’ by James Baldwin should be one of those never ending books; It is both hurting me & healing me.

I havent seen my best friend in a year, due to America holding her hostage. Last night, we met up & laughed with all of our teeth! Like no time was between us, like we’d always been in that exact spot.. our energies are in sync. She is I & I am her.
Your aunt Sharice used bleaching cream.
Your mother explained what that was by saying
It’s when you set fire to yourself
so others will compliment the light
of your burning.

if i say it enough will it make me a better player?
Real men don’t talk about their sexual conquests or call a woman out of her name. My father once told me “No matter if a woman is sinner or a saint when you lay with her you become her equal. So no matter what you feel about them, it’s also a reflection of yourself.

Song of the day: Mount Kimbie - You Took Your Time (feat. King Krule)
Mount Kimbie serve up a contorted sub-genre of electronic music that’s not afraid to dabble in influences from a plethora of genres to create it’s subtle downtempo aesthetic and ”You Took Your Time” perfectly represents the apex of what the London-based duo are trying to achieve with their sophomore album “Cold Fault Less Youth”.
King Krule’s blunt metaphoric-littered vocal alternates between raspy growls and an off-kilter flow that cuts mesmerisingly in between the punchy hip-hop inflected beat. His poetic panache alone is enough to keep your ears on tenterhooks.
Heavy heart. Need to write..
Today I showed myself just how brave I am. It was a beautiful realisation
